Cockapoos a cross breed, or some may call it a mixed breed involving Poodles. Cockapoos are the result of the fusion between Poodles and Cocker Spaniels. Cockapoos generally come in white, cream and tan colours, and is a well-proportioned breed, usually weighing in at 6 to 19 pounds.

However, strictly speaking, Cockapoos cannot be considered a real species. This is because Cockapoos are not confirmed to be able to consistently maintain roughly the same characteristics throughout different descendants. Despite this, Cockapoos remain a popular choice due to its inheritance of its parents’ positive traits.


A Cockapoo’s coat draws characteristics from both its Poodle and Cocker Spaniel ancestors, usually making it long and fairly curly. Cockapoos are a great breed for people who tend to have allergic reactions easily. Because Cockapoos rarely shed hair, if any, it can drastically reduce the chances of hair-induced allergic reactions happening. Cockapoos should be brushed and combed regularly though, to keep its coat clean and tangle-free.


Cockapoos are capable of learning things fairly quickly, given their intelligence and desire to please. As such, Cockapoos should be easy to housebreak. Cockapoos should require consistent, firm, yet gentle handling as they can get a little sensitive when it comes to the tone of your voice.

Description:

The Havanese gives a rugged impression in a little dog body.  Legs are strong and allow easy movement. The dark eyes and long tail are covered with long, silky hair. The creates coat in varies ways from wavy to curly to corded. The corded coat is recognized by the AKC (American Kennel Club). The Havanese is a double-coated breed with soft hair, both on the outer coat and undercoat. The adult coat reaches 6 to 8 inches, and has a pearly sheen. Havanese are natural companion dogs, gentle and responsive. They become very attached to their human families and are excellent with children. Very affectionate and playful with a high degree of intelligence, these cheerful dogs are very sociable and will get along with everyone including people, dogs, cats and other pets.

Living conditions:

Havanese are good for apartment life. They are very active indoors and will do okay without a yard. Havanese are born to live in your home, and not in a patio or a kennel, but at the same time, they require plenty of exercise.

Grooming:

The Havanese is a dog breed that does require attention to its coat. Grooming should be every 2-3 weeks with a bath every 2 unless becomes dirty. The hair is very silky and smooth. The coat will need to be brushed weekly to keep knots out of coat an to prevent matting. the more your dog is brushed an maintained.
